Installation techniques include project specific applications like hospitals, parking garages, schools, hotels and many other buildings. Explanation of various warranties such as material defects and joint and several warranties are also covered in order to equip subcontractors with a well-rounded knowledge base of the product and appropriate application.
Photoluminescent Egress Markings for Stairwells Install Program
Balco trains subcontractors in the methods of verifying preparation of stairwell materials as well as international building codes and test standards, proper locations for markings and signage in egress stairwells and exit pathways. Photoluminescent PL Egress markings are required in new construction as well as upgrades to existing buildings and renovations or additions. PL egress products are found in high rise construction of 7 stories or more but markings are also common in hospitals, schools, stadiums and dormitories.
Installers who have successfully completed a Balco certified program must recertify every 3 years. Recertification can typically be done by a video interview and abbreviated training session in order to make sure the individual is up to date on Balco products.
